Monthly Reflections: February

Welcome to my monthly reflections! This is where I get personal, sharing my monthly highs and lows of running my business as a solo founder, whilst navigating life as a girl in her 30s, who loves to not take life too seriously whilst also having existential thoughts most days. This is my 8 for February.

  1. What I’m Loving

Dancing! One of my goals this year was to start going to a contemporary dance class and I finally bit the bullet and went. It was SO much fun – an hour of using your body and your brain. Having to remember all the steps is honestly brain training. So this is your reminder to do the thing – the thing you’ve always wanted to try but been putting off.

  2. What I’m Grateful For

I feel very grateful for the lighter evenings! I have the biggest smile on my face that it’s 5:30pm and still light. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Brighter days are coming :)

  3. What I’m Reading

I have just started Sensual by Henika Patel and I’m really enjoying it. One of my focuses this year is to connect more to my Indian heritage and this book feels like a perfect way to do this.

  4. My Upcoming Goals

Personal: Finalise some home bits – we need some painting done, pictures put up and some new lamps. I’m on a mission to get the house finished this year!

Business: I want to streamline my process of creating content, already have some ideas of how so I want to experiment with these and see how it works.

  5. A Challenge I’ve Faced

Recently I have been navigating finding people to support me with some different areas of my business which is definitely a challenge. First of all, thinking about what type of support I want then how it will work logistically. I hope to grow a team as my business expands and I love managing people, but it feels like a new challenge for me (an exciting one!)

  6. Monthly Win

I’ve started with a few new clients this month which I always love. I don’t think I’ll ever stop going on about it as I feel so energised and inspired by them all, and very grateful they trust me as a coach. I was thinking about how magical epiphanies are and I feel very lucky to be able to witness so many with the work I do. 7. Client Breakthrough

One of my clients has had such an incredible couple of weeks since we started working together and we’re only 2 sessions in! She came to me feeling stuck, overwhelmed with how to start her business and frustrated she hadn’t actually done anything yet. We’ve been working together to combine mindset + action + accountability – the three key elements to getting started, building momentum and confidence. It’s been so incredible watching her show up on social media, book clients and start charging!

  8. Favourite Meal

Actually had so many good meals in such a short month – the biggest shoutouts go to Yi-Ban, which is near the Excel Centre in East London. Delicious dim sum, I recommend going on a Sunday and booking, it gets very busy! And Leydi which is in the City of London, near Farringdon. Amazing Turkish food – think hummus, baba ganoush and shish kebab. Love the ice cream service too. You can read Grace Dent’s review here.

Have a lovely month and I’ll see you in 2025 for my 8 for March!
